QuickTime audio Problems
Hi -
When I play Quicktime movies, I get a buzzing and beeping sounds when there should not be. I have QT 6.02 , Mac OS 9.1,
Sound blaster Live, 400 mhz G4 Mac, 320 mb O' ram.
I recently tried to watch the X-Men 2 trailer and had some very bad audio. Also the sample movie that comes with QT also had audio problems.
Whats wrong and how do I fix it? Any ideas?
Thanks
Eric

Re: QuickTime audio Problems
My standard suggestion includes running a test with the HARDWARE DIAGNOSTIC CD (which came with my iMac in July 2000). gl

The one thing that stands out is that you have a Soundblaster Live card. It sounds like you probably popped it out of a PC and into your Mac. Have you checked for Mac driver updates? Sometimes card have a ROM you would need to flash to a different version for your Mac.
You might as well use the Mac's built-in audio, really, unless the Soundblaster offers some special feature.
Hey!!! Was that Pithy? Got a twenty?

Re: QuickTime audio Problems
I have more info. The card is only for Windows 95, 98, and NT. No wonder it plays funny on a Mac.
Definitely for sure this time: Use the Mac's built-in sound, and put that card back into a PC.
