Possible editor news
We have an OSX release available. See all the info in the faq for installation. I want to thank all the people on the GtkRadiant OSX mailing list, and the fink developers for the help they provided, but I must say this one was very hard to pull out, mostly due to scarce OSX developers availability. Please consider that this release is experimental. It has a number of issues, but we believe basic operation is working fine. The FAQ item has all information to send feedback and help us track down bugs. If you are an OSX developer with a little time and motivation, don't hesitate to get involved and help us. I'm afraid that without new developers the OSX port is likely to be abdandonned.
thats from here
I havent been able to get this to work yet, but I thought Id tell you all incase anyone else wanted to try
If anyone else here wants to try I think it would be cool if we all talked about it here.
if anyones intrested ill post some links to specific places to look for steps and stuff (but i dont have everything
.... yet

What did you try? Where did you fail?
My most recent attempt was this (from the page, end of march), and I couldnt figure out how to edit the .list file, because it was owned by the root and etc (look at the link in the third bullet for where my problem was)
and before that I was trying this (from the mailing list in mid feb), and I had problems around step 13-14 (i also didnt have the actual JKII files i needed, but i figured do that later and make sure it works first... alas

Re: Possible editor news
The editor only runs under X11 or something, so you have to install that before you can use it.

Re: Possible editor news
I had a problem with that too, so I skipped it. Instead, follow the installer .deb instructions link at the top, and after that run "dselect" (no quotes in the terminal). First do an update, then do a select. Scroll way the heck down the list and find radiant, and use the + key to set it to be installed. Then get back to the main menu, and do the install option. After that, continue with step 6. I hope it works for you.

Ah, yes, that thing. I installed it to make Marble Blast maps.
Do not try to follow the step-by-step directions. You'll get caught up in loads of package dependencies and whatnot. Just do this:
Install fink. Grab the package and install it using dselect. Now go back to your prompt, and, as root, enter
Code:
fink install radiant3
And allll the rest will be taken care of for you. Now I just have to figure out how to use the darn thing...

Re: Possible editor news
I found some more information at these links, if anyone is interested. Seems we're not the first ones with these problems.
