two towers
w00t!!! it is now 4 am, i just got home from watching the midnight showing, ive been up for almost 24 hours, and i get about an hours sleep before i go to school and be awake for another 16 hours, then..... will it be friday yet? ...
hehe, anyways. it was pretty spiffy, i really enjoyed it. lots of stuff diff from the book, but hey, what do you expect. special effects were awesome, the story was more emotional then the last one, and i think it was also a bit gorier too. loads of fun, i had a blast. now, i gotta get heading off to bed while i still have the chance.
anyone else see it? i got a poster

Re: two towers
Cool!
I don't think I'll get to see it till after Christmas since I'm on call for the next two weeks. That will, however, give me time to re-see the first one.

Re: two towers
what poster nox?
mtm, helms deep was intense.
i think that the movie did a better job representing the tragedy of war. as opposed to just another cool fight scene, it was much more real in how it potrayed who fought and how and that people die.
gotta say one thing, i loved the ents. jackson did a good job there i think, not quite what i imagined from reading the book, but still pretty spiffy.
did anyone else trip out when they saw the nazgul?
anyways, thats all i can think of now.
good movie

Re: two towers
Hey! What about the Ents? I'm hoping they were as cool looking as I imagined them.
My jaw dropped. Treebeard rocks! I was rooting for them big time.
Excellent movie. Ya gotta love the Apple and Pixar logos at the end credits. I don't think I've ever seen a film that gave thanks to any PC.

Re: two towers
I didn't like it as much as i hoped i would. They changed the storyline to much...and the ents were far to skinny. Frodo was a jerk, eomer was stupid, and he wasnt stupid in the book.
They could have done wayyy better

Re: two towers
HAH! I got to see it at 11:30 pm TUESDAY night for free - with pizza and free fountain drinks
Ahh the joys of working at a movie theater which has a christmas party by showing a hit movie :-D
As for the story being changed, yeah they did didn't they - but imo it flows a little better than the books this way + I LOVED treebeard and smeagol/gollum.
I was worried about how they would do gollum - thought he would be TOO cgi, I feel they pulled him off well.

Re: two towers
I've never read the book, but I enjoyed the two towers a lot. It definately lives up to The Fellowship. My favorite character of this one was none other than Gimli the dwarf.

Re: two towers
I have to have an EEG done tomorrow morning, and am required to "go to bed 2 hours later and get up 2 hours earlier" for the test. apparently, one must be sleep-deprived for this (hey, cheweie! you're a shoo-in!)
so I'll be attending the midnite show tonite. good to know it's unlikely I'll fall asleep.
please don't come back to 54

I didn't like the plot changes in 'The Fellowship of the Rings' either, Indy. Unfortunately I figure its a necessary evil. We'd be sitting through 9 hours of movie for each book otherwise.
