Is there a way to get a carbonized application of quake 3 without buying another copy of the game?

why is this the wrong forum? quake 3 is a game is it not? anyways there are patches that allow quake 3 to run on OS X. however im not sure where to get them and im just a little bit to lazy to search for them right now.
