I was poking around, and one of the game server hosts that appealed to me was Fragism. Their pricing is pretty much $5 per person ($40/8 players; $60/12 players; $80/16 players, etc.). If we start off with a 12 player server, I think we might be able to scrape up enough support to keep it at $5 per player or less.

I'll be happy to pay for a server through my PayPal account, if anyone wants to work it that way. Please PM me or email me if you'd like to arrange it that way.

Please post in this thread if you'd be willing and able to contribute, and we can see what happens from here.

i would be glad to pay once i figure out what im gonna be doing the next four years. soon as i get to college (with the superfast ethernet that awaits me wink ) ill be glad to chip in, but til then, things are kinda "iffy" concerning money sad . i guess i'll have to get back to you on it.

5$ a month really isnt bad, and id be willing to do that. I know we have about 12 people who have joined by posting in the announcment thread and have the game, but i doubt all would be willing/able to pay, so well see.

I know theres more that has to be worked out as far as what server and where for certian, but I just thought Id post and say that Ill be helping out to pay for the server wink

I had the waiting for connection window (in game), and that usually only lasts a coulple seconds if it works, I gave up after "30" (they get to be quite extended seconds wink ) so in essence, nothing happend cry

Hmmm...I get that problem every once in a while.

What I do is pull down the console and reconnect a couple of times and then it usually loads. I think it has something to do with the screwy network setup here. I can get on another network but it is probably not worth it.

As for paying a small fee for a server, I've been thinking about it, and I'm probably down. I'd want to commit when things are more finalized, of course, but it sounds like a good plan.

And hey, let's try to get a game in this weeked, what say? I'm jonesing for some saber action.
