Dueling for n00bs

Far superior to mp3 in my opinion.  It won't get me off aiff for my good stuff, but damn is it better for general use.  The details are all there, the highs aren't shrill or muddy, and the bass isn't scratchy or loose.

And I'm going to lose any fortune I might ever come across on this friggin iTunes music store!  I guess it's a good thing I'm a student and can't afford much more than a few albums a month anyway!

Anyway, so the point of the post.  Anyone know anything specific about the AAC codec?  Maybe a whitepaper or something?  I'm really interested having heard it.

Re: Dueling for n00bs

Where's a good place to get dueling practice? I've started a closed server with about 5-6 bots and they're okay for a while, but they tend to either run away alot, or use force powers/weapons too much of the time.

Also, my simple force powers (ie Speed, jump) don't seem to work with the default F keys. Should I re-bind 'em to something else?

Re: Dueling for n00bs

terribly sorry, I seem to have made a multiple thread-multiple forum category-multiple post...

all while shopping at the iTunes store, nonetheless!

Re: Dueling for n00bs

Okay, odd forum happenings aside, anybody have any suggestions?? I'm really bad, so I know practice is the only answer. Just looking for some easy servers to start on, strictly dueling preferably.

Re: Dueling for n00bs

you could try creating a FFA match with no force, ligthsaber only, and whatever level bots you want. that usually works for me. have fun smile

Re: Dueling for n00bs

Unfortunately, bots don't fight anywhere near the way real people with their clever dirty little tricks & special moves do. There is no substitute for a good dueling teacher that has played the game for a while. I reccomend playing online until you get smoked by someone friendly and asking them to teach you what they know. That's how I learned. wink

LOL!

Freaky.  Shall I delete the first post or let the weirdness stand?

Knowing Chewie, she think it's cute.

Re: Dueling for n00bs

What he said

Yep, that's what I've been doing! Actually found some Duel-only servers and been hanging out there, it's a little less chaotic than FFA, and I can try to concentrate on my "technique." Plus, if there's a house bot running, it's good to see other players get whooped up on by a non-human!

Groid: Meh -delete it, don't delete it, don't matter me!
