Re: dropped iPod 10,15,30 owners post here

well, I never have actually dropped mine. Came pretty close once though. But I have several horror stories:

My friend has an iPod with three enormous dents in the back. Seriously. And it works fine.

... contrasting with this: my other friend was listening to her iPod on her desk. Apparently, the headphone cord got wrapped around something, and when she stood up, it fell. The menu button no longer works.

I've got 3 ipods, all dropped too many times to count, all work fine. the wheel popped off my 5GB scrolly once but that just gave me the motivation to scrape all the crap out from under it so it actually worked better after the fall.

My first 3G 15GB 'pod survived a flight while going to class, the velcro Timbuk2 case somehow undone itself and *gasp* it just smacked the C-line trolley window then landed on the seat lol
Best learning experience, don't let your messenger bag get tangled with it or the headphone cord... also since then, I never sit on the outer seat because of that horrible possibility.

Heh I was jogging last night and I dropped my Shuffle. I had it attached to the headphone wich I was listening to. Lucky for me the shuffle is so light that the headphone cord held it. *whew* had I dropped that on ashvalt I would have been depressed.
