You basically just replace the images in the image directory and change the name + a few reference files (the css document and a couple others).

I think we need a theme to make it look like the old blue and green forum. :ducks:
I kid. I hated those colors. But it would be a fun nostalgic theme that I doubt anyone would use for more than a day.

I personally think most of the pre-made themes out there for phpbb look like ass. That means we'd have to create our own. I've messed a bit with this and come up with some ideas, but I simply don't have the time right now to make an entire theme (maybe in another month or three, though). I don't think many of us have enough free time to do this, and since it's not a pressing issue, it isn't getting done. If anyone would like to try to make a phpbb theme for this place, we'd be glad to consider installing it (no promises, though). Or if you know of any non-ass looking themes available, we'll also have a look at those.
Hard work may not kill you, but why take chances?

I'm just happy with the content/community here and the fact that we have a forum at all.
The stability (much improved stability, at any rate) and pleasing features of PHPBB (images, avatars) are such a huge improvement over the old MAF that I'm more than glad to "settle" for the current theme.

That's not necessarily a fatal flaw. It would make it difficult, since one of the moderators would have to pool funds from everybody to buy it. That's another reason to have a separate poll for each theme. We can discuss those details in that thread.
In order to force this discussion out of this generic theme thread and into specific threads, I'm locking this thread. Start those threads guys.
