New procs for a short while

While I'm configuring and testing a couple new servers at work, I'll be able to add 2 dual 2.8G P-Xeon Compaq (HPaq, as I like to call them) DL380 machines. Probably for only a few weeks.

I'll start getting in some desktop P4 2.53G computers starting next month.

On a similar note, I recently maxed out the RAM in this G4. Folding@Home should run faster with 1.5GB of RAM, don't you think?

I dont think more ram will improve the speed of folding, we just need altivec enhancement.

Re: New procs for a short while

Well, my purdy new server had a failure in the power module for proc #2 sometime early on 12/24. It shut itself down and has been doing nothing for almost two full  days now. Grrr.

It did have time to finish one P187_1FSVnat (13h 18m, 6.40pts) and one P213_1fsvunf320 (13h 16m, 6.40pts) before dying.

New PPM installed now. Try again. smile
