You know that PC "Video Professor" guy on TV...
You know that guy who sells those PC how-to CD-ROMs on TV? You know, the ones that he goes on about, "If you can use a VCR, you can use our product"? Well, he was on one of the early morning talk shows today. Part of the conversation went like this:
Female TV Personality: "I find it hard to believe that there are people out there in this day and age who don't know how to use a computer at all. Is it really true?"
Video Professor (ass): "Yeah, they're called Mac users. Ha ha."
Male TV Personality: "Ha ha, yeah, all three of 'em."
It just makes me want to shake this guy and say, "Hey, why don't you make some of your little how-to CDs about the Mac operating system? Is it because it's so easy to use that we don't need your help? Or is it because Mac users are smart enough to figure it out for themselves?" Sheesh. It just made me mad. Like we're too stupid to figure out a PC. Or that it's a bad thing that the Mac OS is easier to understand.
The other thing I didn't get was why this guy got to be on a national morning show in the first place? Why did he get a free plug for his products?

Re: You know that PC "Video Professor" guy on TV...
Well, we should know by now that Macs aren't real computers, and are just goofy candy-colored toys which don't have a real operating system, and that people who use Macs are just those people who are too stupid to figure out a real computer with it's complex system, interface, problems, errors, and crappity crap crap.
...and besides we
don't appreciate technology
So it's no wonder we don't use a real computer and are too dumb to realize it.

What a horrible salesman. Someone should tell him not to throw insults around like that if you want people to buy your product.

Not that I'd buy it anyways.
Contrary to what he may think, I, a lifelong Mac user, do know how to use a computer. Funny thing, that.

Well, look at the source...this coming from a guy who presumes that the general public is too stupid to operate Windows, so he talks down to them and peddles his product as a computer panacea.
He's no different than those traveling elixir salesmen of the 19th century.
meh.

So, in other words, he's selling snake oil...
Reminds me of the episode of the Simpsons...when Grandpa and Homer are selling the love tonic.
I could use some of that love tonic right now.

Next thing you know this charlatan will have his own TV show where he communicates with people's dead loved ones in order to solve their problems with their PC.

Grandpa Simpson: Welcome home, son. I broke two lamps and lost all your mail. What's wrong with your wife?
Homer: Never mind, you wouldn't understand.
Grandpa: Flu?
Homer: No.
Grandpa: Protein deficiency?
Homer: No.
Grandpa: Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis?
Homer: No.
Grandpa: Unsatisfying sex life?
Homer: N -- yes. But please, don't you say that word!
Grandpa: What, seeex? What's so unappealing about hearing your elderly father talk about sex? I had seeeeex.

Re: You know that PC "Video Professor" guy on TV...
This guy has flawed logic. If Mac users really didn't know how to use their computers, he should be making his product for Macs, wouldn't he?
As it is, the very existence of his product is an admittance that Windoze is a convoluted piece of crap that people have to get some idiot on TV to send them a CD before they can use it.

That guy, who I couldn't stand in the first place, now tops the list of the "Top Ten People I would like send through a combine today" instead of the top 25 of said list.
"Please, try my product..." Read: "Oh God, please SOMEBODY, give my CDs, which are loaded to the brim with condescending instructions for you stupid people who barely know how to open their cup holder...ERRRR... CD ROM Drive, a try!! Otherwise I'll have to go back to my pathetic existence as a street clown/mime."
Please die.

Re: You know that PC "Video Professor" guy on TV...
Wasn't there a survey done that showed that Mac users, aside from being better educated, are more creative than PC users?
Edit: Here's my email.
As seen on a national morning show:
Female TV Personality: "I find it hard to believe that there are people
out there in this day and age who don't know how to use a computer at
all. Is it really true?"
Your CEO: "Yeah, they're called Mac users. Ha ha."
Male TV Personality: "Ha ha, yeah, all three of 'em."
As a Mac user, and a member of a community of 25 million Mac users, I
find this very offensive. Surveys have shown that not only are Mac
users better educated, but they are also more creative than people who
use Windows-based PCs, and are more technologically savvy. Just because
we don't need your CDs to tell us how to use our computers (since Apple
did its job in making an easy to use operating system) doesn't mean
we're stupid. Many of us know how to perate Windows-based PC, as well
as Linux. We can edit videos, digital pictures, use the Internet, and
construct web pages. All without the help of your insipid,
condescending CDs.
The next time your CEO decides to open his mouth about how "stupid" Mac
users are, maybe he should sit down and actually use a Mac first or
talk to Mac users. Of course, that would take a willing to understand
something that is different from what you're comfortable with,
something most PC users have trouble with.
Sincerely,

Re: You know that PC "Video Professor" guy on TV...
You should just send a short letter which asks, "If Windows is such a great OS, why do snake-oil salesman like you exist? Like the anti-virus companies, your whole existence as a company is based on the fact that Windows is hopelessly flawed."

Why does Justine get penis enlargement e-mails then?
I have heard Mac users are better lovers and that to use a Winbox is a turn off for some French women. But we already knew that.
Anyway...
