I'm all freaked out, now...

My dad spent two hours hooking his digicam to his (brand new) PC. My Mac did the same thing in ten seconds. And it's three years old.

Exactly.  Whenever someone says something to me like, "Why should I buy a Honda over a Toyota, or a Ford or whatever..." I don't answer back, "Because Hondas are good and [insert other car here] suck."  I usually say something like, "They're both good for different reasons.  I like the Honda better for these reasons..."  That way, when they ask the sales people at the other lot and they say, "Because Honda sucks," I have credibility and they don't.  I have been selling cars for a long time, and I can tell you from experience, that if you knock the competition, the customer will not trust anything you tell them.

You should just send a short letter which asks, "If Windows is such a great OS, why do snake-oil salesman like you exist? Like the anti-virus companies, your whole existence as a company is based on the fact that Windows is hopelessly flawed."

It also helps if they're not tied up, with a gag in their mouth. 

Sssshhhhhh...don't give away all of my conversation tips.  I'm trying to write a book about it, and you're going to spoil it.  My working title is: Twisted Guy's Tips For Exciting and Engaging Conversation the Beaten and Bruised Way.  It's a bit long, but it really conveys what the book is about.

Yes, I work for commission.  I wouldn't do sales in any other way.  I am in control of my own destiny, and  I do quite well at it.  Would you do well?  Who knows?  The only way to find out is to give it a shot.  One thing is certain though, there is a lot of money to be made.

It takes guts to try it, but if you do, you may possibly be making the best decision of your life.  You won't like it.  You will either love it, or hate it.  This is a fact.  It's not for everyone.  90% of the people who enter the car business, are out of it within six months.  But if you are among the 10% who stays, it's well worth it.  I would say that it's worth it even if you're not, if nothing else, for the experience.  I think everyone should do it once.
