A friend of mine has a silver wrx sedan...awesome.

By most accounts the TT is pretty much all show and not much go...which is the reason they are introducing the v6 version soon, as someone already pointed out. It have the feeling that a 1.8t GTI may actually be quicker than a TT, due to the GTI being lighter.

Edit: I voted auto...wish i knew stick however, then maybe I could drive that wrx (My parents told me not to learn stick here because then when I move back to England it will be so confusing).

Anyhow, our family has a 2k maxima auto, and thats still plenty of fun...yay for 3L v6 wink

Hmmm.... both... If I drive my truck, its manual. If I drive my dad's car, its automatic... or manual... it has "tiptronic transmission" or something like that. If I drive the Church's SUV, its manual. It depends.

Wow, a biggun. I have only seen a few F550s before, but those are some massive trucks.

I don't think so, CDL's are only required for single vehicles (class B and C), or combination vehicles (class A), that have a GVWR of 26,001 lbs or more. With combination vehicles (class A), the towed vehicle must be 10,001 lbs or more...

Clutchless manuals are the best way to go!

The shifting speed of an auto, with the gear selecting control of a manual!

Take identical vehicles (save the transmission), up a steep hill with switchbacks, and you'll see witch one comes out on top first!

hey, i was reading this post, and i had to join to set ya guys straight confused manuals pWnz j00z, cause #1, NO AUTOMATIC can shift as quickly as manual (except BMW's SMG). Manual robs less HP, and you are in direct control of the car. And if you have a car like mine, the manual trannys gears are geared for acceleration (higher differential out back)....my car, for example can do 0-60 in 6 seconds flat, where as the automatic version does it in 6.7 (did i mention the added weight?)

well guys, i love the site, im a PC guy (going to keep my dual 2.8ghz dell desktop) but im going to get a G4 pBook soon (waiting for new 15") heres my car, and hope to see everyone around! smile

Heh, I have a 94 Honda accord. its the only real "sports car" i will own, but i do like it. I got a sweet Chevy steering wheel cover today for it (i miss my chevy). The other day i raced my friend on the freeway, nothing real fast, but he drives a 01 WRX and i smoked him somehow...i think hes just a lameass, after all he spent the money to get a brand new WRX but he "tried to save money" by getting the automatic. pfft

Car and Driver does all their tests with standerd. All their acleration stuff is with mauals. They were able to push a ZO6 vette to a 0-60 in 3.9 sec. Wait that probably means thier experts.

Since the Z06 vette is only available with a 6 speed manual, I'm gonna have to discount your evidence as retarded.
