Re: HOT! Too hot for me!

Well in areas where it hits 120, they have air conditioning.  Same thing here, its really really frickin hot, like 85ish every day.  In a place where in the winter it rarely hits double digits.

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!

I lived in Alaska for two years, and it's not that bad.

The mosquitos, on the other hand, suck (Pardon the pun).

Dude - West Nile Virus is carried by mosquitos.  Since we have effectively no mosquitos in the desert / beach, we won't have very many cases here.  Alaska on the other hand . . . .

The virus is moving slowly West and North.  Last I heard it probably will cross the Rockies this year.

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!

Thats what I meant. There are no mosquitoes, there, but other places there are, and some of them have the Westnile thingy. Here we have mosquitoes, (I almost got sucked to death {not really just got sucked a ton}) but they dont have any diseases.
I dont want the westnile virus to come to Alaska, that would be bad.

Oh, Jeapadea, be quiet. It was beautiful out today. It's your own fault you played soccer in black jeans roll

As for the mosquitos. there arn't many where I live, and the mosquitos in Alaska, dont, and CANT carry the west nile virus. they are a different breed that doesnt carry it.

Man where I used to live though, It got even toastier. Mmmm it was nice. And the mosquitos were much worse.

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!

I know how you feel. I've lived by the water my whole life, and if I'm not in boxers and a t-shirt, I'm fine with 50 or so degrees, but 85 is rather hot. I'm in my element in 70 degrees though :standard:

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!

Philly's got a moderate 90 going on right now, I think it hit 98 this week or last. Pretty hot, especially after such a long and frigid winter. And rainy spring.

Probably not Kodiak  big_smile

Not sure yet, my mom and I are still planning it. I know that we're going to do the ferry line though. Can't wait, I've heard it's real perty, so by the time I'm done my flash card is going to be full and my camera dead :!:
