MacAddict RC5 Team

I think we really need a MacAddict RC5 team.  I think RC5 seems like a better project, because a) SETI@Home is low on funds, and may not be able to continue, b) SETI@Home will soon go to SETI 2, a new project, c) RC5 offers prize money (although what are the odds of being the winner?), d) the RC5 client makes use of Altivec, which will make data crunch much faster (and it'll prove to the world, that Macs are superior!).  I'm sure there are other reasons too.  I'm not saying we should abandon the SETI@Home team, but I'd really like to join RC5, especially a MacAddict team.

Re: MacAddict RC5 Team

What is RC5?
I keep hearing things about it, but never any description of what the project is.

BTW, I've shoved SETI@Home to my Powerbook G3, and put Folding@Home on my 1Ghz DP, so I can help with the advancement of medical science!  wink

It's a contest to break encryption codes.  I was going to do it, but then I changed to Folding because it seemed like it was more important than encryption and aliens.

I suggest you watch Independence Day.  That should straighten out your priorities re. aliens.

Dude, haven't you seen Men in Black? There are people that take care of that for us.

While the Seti@Home people are doing a vital service scanning the skies for alien invaders, let's not forget our close neighbor: Mars.

Go see Mars Attacks! and you'll learn how to defeat them... for now.  They may have come up with a devious defense.
