haha, I know someone who does reverse steal!
he steals stuff from stores (small stuff like candy) and leaves it in other stores. I have no idea where the behavior came from...it makes me laugh

Growing up in Ontario we could get Nu Grape soda. Best for burping latter on and still getting the grape flavour. Darn those were the days.

Re: stuff that is no longer available...
I wanna know what the Priazzo was!!!
Y'know how they have "stuffed crust" pizza? Well, imagine if the whole pizza was stuffed inside the crust.
It was structured like this:
- cheese -
- sauce -
- crust -
- topping -
- cheese -
- sauce -
- crust -
So, basically, it was like taking a pizza, but baking it inside a crust "pocket", then topping that pocket with thin layers of sauce and cheese.
Kinda like a calzone, but the crust isn't as much of a featured player.
The Triple Decker pizza they tried a few months back is kinda similar, although with a Priazzo, the "stuffing" part was a LOT thicker, and had all the other ingredients (not just cheese) in there.

Re: stuff that is no longer available...
That priazzo sounds a lot like Digorno's new Deep Dish pizza. It has a tiny bit of crust, then the inside is filled with toppings, or just cheese if it's a cheese pizza, then there is a tiny bit more crust, then sauce, then a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on top.
You should try it.
quesadilla tostitos...the best chips ever created.
now I have to stick with lime tostitos...not as good, but that hint o' lime is pretty nice
MMMM those chips were good. The lime ones were good, but they got to ya after awhile.
One cereal that I miss is Corn Bran. Where I first lived it was there for awhile, then dissapeard which left me really dissapointed. Then we moved here and I was happy that they had it in the store here. Then it dissapeared here too! I'm sure quaker still makes it, but SAFEWAY SHOULD BRING IT BACK INTO THEIR STORE!!

It's called supply and demand. If there's no demand, then they won't continue to sell it. A lot of things are regional due to the demographics. You can always have your parents call Safeway and request that they carry it again. Sometimes it works.

Here is a place that has hard to find food, including Quisp! Although it is out of stock right now. But lots of old foods that bring back memories.
Um, i already posted this site on the first page.

Re: stuff that is no longer available...
Yeah, well you didn't post it on the SECOND page.
I swear I looked to see if anyone had posted it. But the light blue link on the light blue background escaped my tired eyes. Quite frankly it would have saved me few minutes doing a search because I knew it existed, but didn't know what it was called.

That smurf was tasty. I forgot to get some when i was in the states last.
There's one product they didn't remove because of low demand. There was big hubbub about it's fat content apparently.

Ya know, i think they still sell that here... I think i just saw it a week ago, but I'll check the next time I'm in the store.
Oh, about that site that sells stuff that you can't find anymore. How old is that stuff. If they don't sell it, then where do they get it and how long have they had it??

The methods of science are manifestly effective, having made massive humanitarian contributions to society. It is this very effectiveness which the purveyors of mystical philosophies attack, because they recognise in it the chief threat to the belief-based source of their power and financial reward. -Harry Kroto, Nobel Laureate

I'm afraid that Taco Bell will stop selling the 7-lyaer burrito. So everythime I go there, I order one even I don't really want one. Have to keep that demand up!

a non-cheap, non-domestic beer can be ok on occasion. but a pbr in a plastic cup can be a thing of beauty.

No, I think it's from a clip of a guy getting his head cut off(for real). I'll check when I get home.

Re: stuff that is no longer available...
I miss the Yumbo from Burger King. It was a hot ham and cheese sandwich on a hamburger bun. It disappeared from the states in the late 70's or early 80's when they started their hoagie-style sandwich line. I last had one at the Burger King in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in 1990. Haven't found one since.
I also miss the Shamrock (Mint) Shake from Mickey-D's, but I think that still pops up on St. Patty's Day now and again.
