Just want to know where I can find kool pics that small for my sig? 

I'd say your best bet is just to make your own. Find a pic of something cool and don't worry about the size. Then, download Graphic Converter. Using GC, Reduce the image size into the range of 80 pixels by 80 pixels and then compress the image into .gif format until it is below 6k. That's basically how I made mine, except I used Photoshop.

I own Photoshop, like several other people around here.  I suspect several of us would help you with that if you were to e-mail your picture to be edited and give a description of what you want done to it.

a Suitible image 72 DPI, and the area you want is about the right size......

Select the are you want in the image using GC, Copy and then open it up as a new image. At the most your selevtion should be 200 x 200 pixels,  and no less then about 64 x64. Ideal size should be 120 X 120 or so

Then Scale the image down to the correct 80 x80.

then goto the preferences, and turn off the Resource fork in the Save Misc section

Then save you new Avatar (it should be about 4 kb if done right) and the File type doesn't matter, as long as it's jpg or GIF

(mines a Jpg)

send me something you'd like reduced, Cee, and I'll prep it for you. I had to host mine on my iDisk. I don't think there's upload space on the new server, understandably.

As for the JPEG vs. GIF debate it's always a case by case basis with small images. My image of the great Brainiac 13 looked much better as a GIF, had a smaller file size, and let me use transparency to blend the image with either the white or light blue background of the new Forum. You just need to futz with your color palettes to get a small photo to work well as a GIF.

wow, your name looks weird in sindarin...

actually, it looks like your 'ch' tengwar is upside down, but thats probably just becuase the font I use might be messed up.  I dont want to look for a real source...

actually it's the English mode of Tengwar, which is very similar to Sindarian, the CH still might be wrong though, I'm gonna double check
