Disc problems September 2003

Has anyone else had problems with the September 2003 Disc?  Everytime I put it in my Combo drive, it crashes my Finder and I try it in 9.2.2 and it locks my system up.  Is there a major problem with the Disc or is it my system.  Let me know if you guys are having problems too.

Thanks

This doesn't help, but you might be interested to know that we get two or three -- rarely more, rarely fewer -- reports of such problems with the Disc each month.  I wish I knew what to tell you, other than that we send out about a quarter million of the lil' fellas per month, and a couple are duds.  My apologies.

The only thinng I can suggest would be for you to go to http://www.futurenetworkusa.com/publica … ement.html and get a new one -- if the new one works fine, it was the Disc; if it crashes our system again, there's something wrong with your set-up.

Re: Disc problems September 2003

Yes, I have that problem too, but it was just because I rebooted into OS 9 to play Deus Ex, and incidentally the CD was in the drive.  Just kept giving me a spinning wristwatch.  restarted twice; the second time holding down the mouse button and the eject key at the same time (to insure if it was the disc problem that it would go away), then disabled some extensions.  But I guess after reading this is was just The Disc after all.  It doesn't really bother me much personally because I use OS X 95% of the time.
