A whole new world

So I finally got my iBook AV adapter so I can plug my 700 MHz iBook into my TV.  (It's the newer adapter, the one with both composite video and s-video out).  The picture's really fuzzy but when I start to play DVD's in OS X, well that works fine with a clear picture so I'm not too concerned.  However, in OS 9, it says that Apple DVD player 2.7 won't work with these display settings.  What's this??  It seemed to work fine in OS X and I've got the latest version of DVD player for OS 9 so does anyone have any ideas why it will work fine in OS X but not in 9?  I can see my desktop in 9, it just won't play DVDs.  (For that matter, anyone have any idea why it shows such a fuzzy desktop?)  Anyone know more about this than me?  Would love to hear from you.  Thanks,

David

(still, it is nice to watch movies on something more than 12.1 inches.  smile

Re: A whole new world

My iBook 800 displays a "fuzzy" desktop on a TV too. I think it's because TV's have such a crappy resolution. Your desktop looks much worse than a DVD because it's not moving (just my edumacated guess).  smile

Sorry, can't help with your OS 9 problem.

I'm inclined to agree. The only solution I can think of is to get HDTV.
