i need some advice
I'm a kaleidoscope junkie...i just bought 10.2...
so i was wondering do you know of any apps/system features so I can...
A)Have a custom background picture in each window....
(i.e. Putting Thom Yorke's pic in my music folder window)
B) Let me change the aqua interface to red or black?
C) Set it so all my icons are 48x48 rather than manually setting them

A) Show view options for a window (make sure you have it set to "This window only") and select picture for the background and then choose a picture.
B) Not sure about this one. I think there are some hacks out there but others will chime in with this one.
C) This can be done with the same vieow options (make sure you have it set to "All windows") and set the icon size.

You can do B) by going to System Preferences -> General and changing the Appearance to Graphite.

There was an MA issue within the last 5-6 months w/ "100 best freeware apps" and I think one or 2 of them had some program to switch themes. I don't remember which issue it was...

Here is your guide to theme altering for Mac OS X. Enjoy! You can get the theme switching apps there as well! Keep in mind that tampering can be risky... keep an updated of Aquafix around.... That'll restore your system if it gets messed.

It changes the Aquacity to Graphite, so it's pretty close to black.

Which is what I had already figured was your reasoning but it only changes minor parts of the interface. I just got the impression that he was looking for something more dramatic than that.
Also, the graphite interface has always sucked because of the fact that all the window widgets are all the same graphite color and you lose the beauty of different colors giving you the ability to quickly choose the right one.
