Is seti@home gonna soak up all my download limit?
I've never had seti@home installed so I'm wondering if the program is gonna soak up all my download and upload bandwidth limit from my service provider. I have Cable internet. Are these files small or huge? I have an iMac 500 G3. If it is gonna soak it up then I will uninstall it. Thanks for your help

Unless it's changed dramatically in the last year or you have one mean mother of a render farm, the downloads are negligible.

I think it's about 300k per cycle. And it looks like your machine will only be able to handle 1 data set/24 hours.

So, no, it won't eat your bandwidth... and you don't have to have the computer online when you're doing it, either.
