NFL, baby.
So who does everyone like for the Superbowl?
Realistically, I think it's going to come down to Oakland-Philly, but I have a hunch about the Jets that makes me think NYJ-Philly.
And for next year? Who are going to be the teams to watch?
I'm thinking Minnesota will be a big gun next year -- they have tons of room under the salary cap to play the free agency market and have the 7th pick in the first round of the draft. They're one shutdown cornerback and one capable cornerback away from being able to own the NFC North.
(Especially if Brett Favre retires. God willing. I hate the f#(<ing Packers!

Re: NFL, baby.
I don't follow it. But I used to live in Philly, now I'm in RI. So it was pretty satsifying last year calling my brother as the Pats won. Not that I watched the game, but he does.

The Super Bowl be a battle of southern coasts: Tampa Bay vs. Oakland.
Team to watch next year? My Brownies! With the addition of RB William Green, Couch has got all the weapons he needs now.

Please please please don't let it be the Raiders. Their fans are insane enough already!
I have to laugh at all these Raider fans that use to bash Jerry Rice, and now buy up anything with his name on it .....

Re: NFL, baby.
and Tampa Bay can't play in the cold.
Tampa beat the Bears in the cold in their final game with a backup QB. Now they've got Brad Johnson back who was the second leading passer in the NFC this season and don't forget the league's best defense. All they need now is to return a kickoff for a touchdown and the die will be cast.
Team to watch next year? My Brownies! With the addition of RB William Green, Couch has got all the weapons he needs now.
I'm a huge Kentucky fan so I root for Couch (our grandfathers rode to work together to the coal mines), but their biggest need is an offensive line. I just hope he can come back from that broken leg.

When is the superbowl?
January 26th.
And not a minute too soon... then football season will be over again, finally.
I did enjoy accidentally stumbling across the big Giants meltdown a few hours ago! One "home team" down, one to go.

But you're right, getting Johnson back will help. Still don't think they beat the Eagles in Philly though.
Assuming Philly gets past the Falcons. I personally hope the Bucs and the Eagles win so Tampa can go up there and shut down the Vet.
This Sunday I hope Terrell Owens catches one over the middle so John Lynch can KNOCK HIM OUT...and his Sharpie

Titans!
The Steelers won't pose much of a problem for them, they just have to get past Oakland/New York

Re: NFL, baby.
This year's superbowl has the Raiders walking the Eagles I believe. If not, it will be the Jets losing to Philly.
Teams to watch next year:
AFC:
Miami Dolphins! They should have won the East this year, but choked with their defensive coordinator. With a few upgrades, they should be unstoppable next year!
Denver Broncos. With a new QB (probably Jake Plummer) they will have more intensity. Portis and Lelee will continue to improve.
Kansas City Chiefs. A little defense and they will be world beaters.
NFC:
NY Giants. They will be dangerous
Eagles. They will contend...again
Falcons. If Vick gets a supporting cast, beware!
...therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. Daniel 9:23c

Spending the offseason in a sulk might be a good form of conditioning for them. Works wonders for the Yankees!

Re: NFL, baby.
All Vick needs is a true #1 receiver. We have a bunch of #2s and #3s at the moment.
