I have a Jan. 2001 iBook, 1Ghz Powerbook G4, and a graphite Airport Base Station. On my iBook, the Airport signal would drop out, reappear, and drop out again, so Apple replaced my base station. The new base station worked fine with the new Powerbook, but the iBook still had the dropping Airport signal. Apple is sending me a new Airport Card for the iBook. Today, I dl'ed and installed Limewire on the new Powerbook, and immediately after quitting Limewire, the Airport signal dropped out. I deleted Limewire and restored the factory settings with the Apple Restore dvd and am now going to stay far away from Limewire. So far, so good. I wish Acquistion could find files on Gnutella for me. Anybody else have this signal drop problem? Did I burn out my Airport card with too many connections in Limewire?
