What score will soulcrusher get in his I.B. Diplomma?
Tomorrow I'll be able to log in to IBNET to check out my official I.B. Diplomma results. I can't wait.
Anyway, would you mind trying to guess what score I will get?
The maximum possible score is a 45 and the lowest a 6.

IB as in International Baccalaureate? geez, I can't believe I actually remember how to spell that. I was in the IB program for a year, but I didn't like it much, too many essays and umm yeah

hahaha. My school is pressuring me into doing IB. I haven't fully decided yet. Right now my schedule is set up to allow all the credits, but we'll see if I end up doing IB or sticking with good ol' AP.

AP is accepted at most schools. IB is laughed at by most schools. A friend of mine was hard-core IB and so on, and she found when applying to colleges, they just didn't care.

At our school, the IB vs. AP war is very similar to the Mac vs. PC war.

In simplest terms, IB stands for International Baccalouriate (spl) which allows students to complete their grade 12 year in grade 11 and begin first year university in grade 12, getting a head start in university. Some people completely skip first year and start second year. Saves a lot o' money. Did I get that right?

hahaha I know what you mean. It's the same way here, and usually AP kicks IB's ass out of the water. lol The kids at my school have a deep hatred for IB, even the kids that are in it. lol We'll see what happens for me.

Tallgeese is correct. The AP program will do you more good than IB. OTOH, plain old Honors classes give the most bang for the effort. Many colleges do not give college credit for your High School AP classes, though most High Schools promote them as such. Its of no more use than Honors classes where you get the extra grade point.

It all depends on where you are going to go. As far as I know the university I want to go to, UBC, gives IB full credit. I need to check in on that.

Yes, UBC does, and if you take enough higher level IB courses, you can skip the entire first year of university at UBC or UVIC.
