controlling another box thru Terminal and ssh

On OSX 10.1 I could log onto another mac in our network, and open apps and kill stuff that was running (much to the disgust of co-workers downloading music and clogging my connection), however in 10.2 I can't get it to work. Is there something I'm overlooking? I am a newbie to this command line stuff. confused

Re: controlling another box thru Terminal and ssh

should be the same as in 10.1.  You might look into Apple Remote Desktop.  Basically allows much greater control over controlling a remote computer.

what commands are you using to connect to the remote computer?

Re: controlling another box thru Terminal and ssh

OS X's firewall may be the issue here.  Especially if you enabled it after going to 10.2.  Check to see if you have it enabled by going to System Preferences -> Sharing pane.

Cheers!
