files from pc to 40gb ipod to hd of powerbook, how?
i had a lot of mp3's on my pc and i put them on my ipod and now i want them on my powerbook's hd but i cant figure out how to do it. can someone give me some advice

i put them on the ipod through music match. my itunes on my mac can see the songs in itunes

There are several apps that will allow you to rip the mp3s off of your iPod. I'm not sure what any of those are, but you could check on http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx. Another way would be to wipe your iPod, plug it into the PC and just use the iPod as a firewire hard drive to directly transfer the files across. You can't just take them out when you loaded them from music match, because apple disabled that feature to prevent music stealing and mass distribution.

If you still have enough free space on your iPod, you wouldn't need to wipe it, just use the free space as a HD, put your mp3s there from the PC, copy them to the Mac and then wipe that part.
