Re: No speakers on the little PowerBook?
Try reading people....
That was about 1/3 of the way down the linked page ... under the heading and a graphic called Bluetooth.first of all, suck a boner.
secondly, i DID read but i read the tech specs which is less clear than the rest of the page because everything is side by side leading to my human error.
see, because i'm a human being and sometimes, even if i try to do something, i still muck it up. this is not a result of an inability to read but of reading one piece of information and mistaking it for another.
mistakes happen to machines, animals, with pregnancies, and everything else on the whole goddamned planet. Why? Because that's how it is.
Lastly,
suck a boner again.

Re: No speakers on the little PowerBook?
I've chosen to edit the following post to avoid being kicked off the boards since I value these boards more than I value you or myself.
Stop whining because you were wrong and someone else pointed out your error.
Hug yourself again. I made it clear that I don't mind if someone points out I made a mistake. I welcome it. But I also welcome lala fluffiness from swell people online who are too busy being happy over their own line of poo poo to see how lovely they're being.
You are either really a gosh darned swell guy or you just like being wrong so you can accuse yet another person of being a "whiner". I guess it's the former since I am a cornucopia of positivity. I was quite clear on what annoyed me and it wasn't that someone pointed out a mistake. It was that someone was being confrontative and accusatory even as I acknowledged my errors. I know you are smart enough to realize this so I'm A-OK w/ U!! 8-)~
Dagnabbit! go on the MacNN forums so you can be surrounded by other totally awesome people(!!) constantly accusing each other of being even more awesome every time one of them has an opinion.
Give me your mother's phone number so I can tell her I love her for not killing you before birth.
I'm going to slap your ass so hard, your bell-bottoms will be ringing.

mmmm, Me and the 12" are destined to meet, I've always been fond of petite women.
That powerbook would kick some serious butt in University lectures. I'm really considering that for next year when I head off. I'm sure the price will drop as well, once they phase out the iBook.

iBrowse doesn't seem to support special characters. This is ironic since Apple actually supports special characters with minimum hassle in the OS, unlike Microsoft. The question mark was a trademark symbol and I used the ellipse symbol earlier and iBrowse screwed it up, too.

I share you're enthusiasm regarding the little 12 inch beauty, but I don't think the iBook is going anywhere. If anything I think it will become more affordable. The 12 inch Powerbook is sure to take some of the lust off of the iBook line, that I agree with you.
Remember, good ol' Steve said it's the year of the laptop, not the year of the Powerbooks. I expect some wonderful things for the iBook line. I'll wait till September for a purchase of one of these. Perhaps if the iBook gets updated anytime from here to there I have to consider it.

HA HA.
I am funny when I'm mad.
I had some Coca-Cola? to cool off, though.
I'm addicted to Coca-Cola?.
My addiction is to coffee. Santa brought me an espresso machine, and now i can have cappucino whever i want it.
I Hate You, what I have figured out is that some of the people on these boards must have been beaten up a lot in the fifth grade, and that is why they feel the need to take it out on others.
Oh well, **** happens doesn't it?

Re: No speakers on the little PowerBook?
No the burn time wouldn't be the same as the length of the movie. The 1x isn't like a 1:1 ratio.
I think 1x is something like 150KBs and 2x would be 300KBs. However I think the speed is different with DVDs. I think 1x with a DVD is more like 1MBs or something like that.
Well after googling for some answers it seems that DVD's 1x is 1.25MBs so that would place a 1x DVD burner close to the speed of a 8x CD burner. Although I'm not 100% on the DVD speeds. If these speeds are true then I'm guessing it would take around an hour to burn 4.5GB
I'm going off the information on this site

You are positively correct, redrum. Thank you for pointing this out.
Box of Heads is just a PeeCee dolt, that's all. Big numbers without anything behind them gets him all excited.
I've seen him say himself that the SuperDrive behaves in a 1:1 fashion.
Not his fault though, things get barbled when someone talks out of their butt.
