Thanks for holding my clammy little hand Levi. I see you on your server, but I'll have to wait for the 16 MB download of ctf-idol-special-edition.zip from some FilePlanet server (creeping along at 12.3 kbps here). Don't hold your breath waiting for me to rejoin you.

It's a little late to think of this, but I would like to suggest the larger point of having a nice UT2k3 server would be to meet up with our friends as opposed to having a hip got-every-map-under-the-sun type approach, so we can get some games on. The game and the maps are still fairly new to us Mac users; early to be getting jaded about stock maps. Just a thought.

As for the maps...I didn't get EVERY map under the sun. Just the ones with good reviews and some that are redos from UT99 maps. Some say why bother, if you wanna play thorns, play UT99. I say its a map I don't have to completly relearn, looks new, yet feels comfortable and familiar.

For me the weaning from UT99 has been kinda tough. My goal was to make the move a bit easier with maps we're happy playing.

That was fun last night, Brain. Usually don't DM that much cause the bots tend to kick my butt.

Levi, the Idol Worship maps, I believe, are ment to be lowgrav instagib maps; at least low grav. They are friggen huge! Have found some other interesting maps and I'll send you the links (if I can find them again).

Glad to see you have a server up and running.  CTF-Mythos2K3 not on the rotation?  I feel so unloved!

I would add BR-AnimaExMachina to the map list for d/l for the Levi server; it's currently on the play list. I'm d/l-ing as fast as I can off FileFront so I can get on.

Ok, just purchased UT2K yesterday, now all I need to do is get the maps    See you on the server in a month or so

i have my copy of UT2K3 installed, updated, and running quite smoothly (not as nice as my brother's achievment on being able to play with the "holy S#!|" settings, but nice.)

so like, where do i get all the maps? more than half of the list is not on fileplanet. I'm lazy with a whole lot of bandwidth. Someone point me to the nearest >500MB file.

Hrm, I wonder if the redirct is working. The site is up, but it says uploads are disabled.

Wang since I do (did) have a redirect you don't have to hunt for the maps. You can get'em as you play. Just get the couple custom maps (there are 3 MTM's, Eko's & Mine) and the mods. After that the redirect should take care of the rest. If you have a FTP or some place I can upload to I'll send ya the big zip if you want. It's not hosted any where because of the size.

Someone let me know if the redirect works, it is public server. If not I'll just have to go find another one.

Update: Looks that the url for the redirect is valid. I've fixed the link so now you can go get all those maps. I was under the impression that UT2K3 will convert .uz for you when you download and add them.

I'm not sure if you got my PM or not, but your server isn't showing up in the server spy script I wrote.  Other UT2k3 servers show up just fine.  Do you know if your server shows up in the in-game server list?

No my server is not set to "broadcast" or I think the correct technical term is "connect to the Epic Master server." I have set to pivate, just like MA2 used to be.
