iBook Battery Problems?

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/newbtry/petition.html

After a very non-responsive reception at my local Apple store I've decided to get active. There are messages from November in the apple discussion boards about these problems and no official response.

If you have iBook Battery problems go to the link above, read it & sign it....and PASS IT ALONG TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO MIGHT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

Re: iBook Battery Problems?

Apple is handling this well and they are sending so many people batteries free of charge, they are running out of them. There's no need to post this petition or to double post in this forum.

Re: iBook Battery Problems?

RabidG3,

Show me some evidence that Apple is taking care of this well.

Apple may be handling it well for customers who are within the intial 1 year warranty or who are paying for additional Apple Care coverage (although if you read all the comments on Apple's discussion board you'll get the impression even these customers are being given the run around) no, my issue is with the people (myself included) who bought an iBook and are having this problem which is obviously a manufacturer's defect (so much so that they are "running out of batteries" ) and are being told "nope nothings wrong...go out and buy a new battery".

This is unfair, poor customer care and typical of what I see as a growing disinterest in business ethics.

As for the double post. I have a petition I'm trying to get the word out and had originally posted in another related area and had my second post moved here by the board hosts.

take care.
