testing for Safari, or something like it
So now Safari is the coolest new Mac browser. As near as I can tell it is based on Konquerer and only available for users of 10.2.
I am one of those who does not like the idea of investing to upgrade an old, old computer and cannot afford a new one just yet. On a work unit I have x.1.5.
Are there any browsers similar to Safari I can test on the Mac to get an idea of how my page will render? Just until I can get my X.2 on!

Re: testing for Safari, or something like it
Safari has some very noticeable bugs in it.
2 that I can mention off hand are:
1) 2 of the same animated gifs on the same page cannot run at the same time.
2) the Jump To: Select Forum menu at the bottom of these forum pages is in a different location for almost every forum.
I wouldn't worry about it until it's final. By then maybe you'll be a Jaguar-ite

Your "little birdy" is dead wrong. It's based off the KHTML engine, as opposed to Omniweb's brand-new engine.

And the first version rendered the MA homepage wrong. They have that fixed now.

remote rollovers (aka layers) are also a bit messed up on certain pages...

Yeah! My inside sources at Apple and Omni have exclusively revealed to me that both programs are written in some derivative of C! Don't tell anyone who told you, though.
