Movies you love to watch...but get to you.
For me, it's the Event Horizon. For some reason every time I see the kid walk into the airlock and decompress without an spacesuit, it gets to me every time... I don't know why either...
I'm not squeamish at all when it comes to movies because I know they are fake, but still this one gets to me at that point in time...
Great movie, but gah...that scene sends shivers up my spine for some unknown reason.

The Ring was a great horror movie that got under your fingernails; absolutely oozed foreboding. Every time I finish watching it, though, I have to leave the room with the TV with all the lights on. It wasn't the sudden JUMP frights that got me, but how everything slowly fell together, painting this image of a girl that's really disturbing.
Also, Kill Bill is an absolutely BEAUTIFULLY shot movie, and is stunning visually. But that's stunning in a good and graphic way; the casual disregard for gore was unsettling, but got better with repeat viewings (
). It's also the main reason some of my friends despised it.

I was so excited to finally get to watch that flick on DVD so that I could go frame by frame on all the wacked out flashes. There's really some smurfed up smurf in that movie.
Didn't get to me, I was actually kind of fascinated with it...
But if there's a movie that always gets me, it'd have to be Arachnophobia. Probably because I'm a little girl when it comes to spiders...

LOL, the movie doesn't get to me except for that one point... like I said I can't explain why... but still awesome movie... but for whatever reason I can't willingly watch that scene for some reason... probably because it's very realistic...
I love horror movies, I live for them, I wait for one that can make me jump... or cringe, or do something unexpected... Event Horizon was good in many ways, not perfect but very good...

I tend to have a pretty strong stomach for movie violence but 2 movies that actually made me jump:
Final Destination and Final Destination 2
The death scenes in these movies were so in your face I literally jumped out of my seat several times. That bus scene in the first one particularly.
another one is American History X. Incredible well done movie but the "mouth on the curb scene" makes me physically ill. I can't bring myself to keep my eyes open for any of it although this is probably due to the fact that I once met a guy who bragged that he had actually done that to a person.

I can't watch Se7en again even though I liked it when I saw it.
I like Freddy Got Fingered. I am only mentioning it because I will never hesitate to mention it because it is the best!!!!!

Sid and Nancy. Great movie, but to quote an English professor of mine, watching it is like swimming in vomit.

I can watch Top Gun over and over for the flight scenes but Tom Cruise's character is a huge smurf.

You must be joking. That smurf is so fake, it's ludicrous.

I have some movies on CD with willies in them. Never really done much for me, though.

Ooh, I thought of one. That scene in Blackhawk Down when he's digging around in that guy trying to get the vein. Ewwie x 100.

Robocop
---
When the first Ed209 is introduced at the business meeting (I'm paraphrasing).
Boss Guy:"Okay point the Gun at Ed209""
Hapless victim points wepon at Ed209
Ed209: "Please point down the gun. You have 20 seconds to comply"
Boss Guy "You better do what he says"
Hapless victim drops weapon
Ed209: "You have 15 seconds to comply"
Hapless Victim: "Ahhh, somebody help me"
Ed209: "You have 10 seconds to comply"
Everyone else: "Get away from me!"
Ed209: "You have 5 seconds to comply"
Hapless victim "Ahhhhhhh"
Ed empties hundreds of rounds into hapless victim's body and powers down.

Man that was so scary the firsttime I saw it.

the part where David finally spends a day with his mother and at the end she dies and he watches her fall asleep.
i lost my mom at an early age and the last image i have of her was at the funeral.

I found this part of the movie really depressing. As soon as the movie finished, I had to pop in another movie just to get the feeling out of my head.

Anything with needle usage (hypodermic, not sewing). The more realistic the more squeamish I get. Fakey stuff (like Morpheus being injected in the first Matrix) doesn't phase me at all. But show me someone injecting heroin and I'll almost faint!
Grandfatherly advice: You can drink 'em pretty, but you can't drink 'em smart.
