I don't feel like either of those statements represent me since I don't talk or type like a 4 year old Bangladeshi girl.

Substitute "girl" with "prostitute" and I'll agree with you.

Tsk. You know that leaving out the Linux users is going to spark a massive revolt.

That second statement is retarded because the Dock also allows one to switch programs instantly, so in that respect, the Task Bar still doesn't have an advantage.

Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing TG said about program switching from the dock, but then I decided the whole thing is retarded.

4-year-old prostitutes? What's the world coming to?
Edit: Actually pcguy's posts always makes me think of "Cave Man Lawyer" from SNL.

Are we talking about the whole taskbar? Start menu? Quick launch stuff? Clock? Blah? Blah blah?
I guess I'd go with taskbar

Re: Vote, which is more useful. OsX dock vs Win task bar
Oh wait! Are we considering usability or just usefulness? Because the taskbar's lovely 1 pixel border between the edges of the buttons and the screen gives it a usability value of approximately zero.

I think the fact that you can actually control a program to an extent from its Dock icon makes the Dock infinitely superior.

I dunno. Most apps don't have much more than keep in dock, show in finder, hide, and quit. I'd call that one a draw.

But at least the Dock has that ability. In Windows iTunes, you can't pause, skip to the next song, or go back one song from the Taskbar.

Mr. William:
1. You probably have no idea where Bangladesh is since you can't even correctly spell the name of the city.
2. You probably have no idea how well or bad a 4 year old India's girl will be able to talk or type in english.
3. You are a jerk.
4. Sorry, I take that back.
5. Nope, nevermind, you are a jerk.

1. I spelled it correctly. A person from Bangladesh is a Bangladeshi. And I do know where it is.
2. Granted, I don't know this, but I am fairly certain she would have a good chance of out-typing you.
3. I guess I'm doing something right when the troll is upset with me.

It is 'Mr. Williams' or 'Sir'.
Anyway, Dock. Stupid poll answers though...

I've used the dock on my friend's g4 but I have not used it enough to really form an opinion on it.
My only real choice would be the taskbar because I've had more experience with it.

Well, you fail the test!
1. A person from the country of Bangladesh is call "Bangladeshis".
Since their national language is "Bengali", I doubt very much a 4 yr old would be able to spell better then me in "english"! smarter then me! perhaps!
2. If you do know anything about Bangladesh, you will realize it is not part of India. and you would have jump at the chance to correct my "mistake"!
3. Since I haven't comment on my perference in this matter, I can not be call a "troll".
4. I always get upset when I meet a "JERK", and you are!

Don't get upset with me because you didn't know Bangladesh was a country. You thought it was a city in India and now you're trying to make it seem like you had the mental capacity to plant an error in hopes of trapping me. HA! You wish you were that clever. Also
bangladeshi
adj : of or relating to or characteristic of Bangladesh or its people or language; "Bangladeshi dialects" [syn: Bangladeshi, East Pakistani] n : [b]a native or inhabitant of Bangladesh[b] [syn: Bangladeshi]
Nowhere is this phantom word "Bangladeshis" located...
And I'm a jerk. We get it. Three cheers for pcguy.

If you consider the system tray as part of the task bar (which I generally do), then you can. Otherwise, that's Apple's fault. They should've copied Media Player's ability to minimize it's controls into the taskbar.
