Shimmering Monitor
My monitor on my PC seems to have issues in my bedroom, the left side of the screen keeps shimmering. Any idea why this would be? I don't have any magnets or fluorescent lights or anything nearby, so any suggestions? Its fine in other rooms, w/ same comp. And my dad's iMac is fine when I put it there...

Re: Shimmering Monitor
Try the degaussing control, and check for any large motors nearby (furnace, central vacuum, fridge, another monitor or TV etc.). Change the orientation of the monitor 90 degrees. If any of these things help, then it's external electomagnetic interferance.
You can also go into the video properties in windows and change the refresh rate and see if that makes a difference. You might also try plugging it in to an outlet on a different circuit, though that would be an unlikely source of the problem.
It's not a movie.
