How to get 2nd CLI working.

I just got a Dual G4.  I got the first cli working, but not a second one.
I put the 2nd cli in another directory , but it apparantly tries to put it's files in my home(?) directory which locks it from launching.

So what do I have to do to get it to work?

TIA

Re: How to get 2nd CLI working.

You need to change to the directory seti is in to run it, else it starts in your working directory i.e. your home directory.

Your here when you start seti:

Code:

Last login: Thu Nov 20 18:33:03 on ttyp1
Welcome to Darwin!
[YourComputer:~] Youruser% ./setiathome

You want to be here:

Code:

Last login: Thu Nov 20 18:33:03 on ttyp1
Welcome to Darwin!
[YourComputer:~/setiathome/] Youruser% ./setiathome

so use "cd" and change to the setiathome dir.

Re: How to get 2nd CLI working.

Make sure you've got two copies of the Seti@home client in separate directories and, like mjsmitho says, cd to each directory and start the client.

I use SetiMenu to manage my clients.  It works very well and I've put it in my Startup Items for when I log in.  I only let the monitor "sleep" and rather than logging out, I just lock the screen so Seti@home is running all the time.

I got SetiMenu here: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/vigan/akfot/index.html

Update:

I just tried the wanadoo.fr link and it has changed.  However Version Tracker has it at :
