Re: Who cuts your hair?

My wife cuts or should I say trims it.
My hair hasn't been short since 1986.

Those mullets are nice, low maintenence hairstyles, eh? wink

Re: Who cuts your hair?

Mullet = blotto

I usually get my hair cut at a SuperCuts like place (one that's cheaper than SuperCuts).  There's not a lot of other options, unless you want to play 60$ (which I consider obscene).

I usually keep my hair about shoulder or midback length, but I think it's getting chopped off during winter break.

Feel the fury of the Phantom Mullet!
Tremble and scurry from the Phantom Mullet!
White leather burn from the Phantom Mullet!
Combed, straight or permed it's the Phantom Mullet!
And you! Cutting it short on top!
I want that for me!
Growing it long in the baaaack....
So savage and so freeeee....

Re: Who cuts your hair?

I have gone to SuperCuts for as long as I can remember.  Cheap, easy, quick.

However, last week, on the advice of some friends, I went to a local barber shop.  I got the full traditional barber treatment -- hot towel, warm cream, neck shaved with a straight blade, and the best haircut I've had in years.  All that for a couple bucks less than SuperCuts charges, plus he's a lot more fun to talk to than the stupid girls at SuperCuts.

Not as nice to look at, but much more fun to talk to.

Re: Who cuts your hair?

It's hard to find a good barber these days, with so many of the dying and all.  The few that are left are old, however it's usually cheep.  But the Barbery experience isn't what it used to be, no shave, no straight blade, no warm cream, no hot towel. People just don't have time I guess.  But you know, I might pay $5 for a shave now and then, I don't like shaving, and I can't always tell if it's even, when I have facial hair.

That is what my barber does. The owner is an old skool Sicilian. His Daughter and Grand-Daughter work there occasionally and are trained with the straight razor are all of his employees. The other male barber there just got out of jail for DUI and has lots of tatts. No gay men.

Re: Who cuts your hair?

Bought a set of hair clippers in 1988. Haven't paid for a haircut since.

And if I had my way (which I don't), my son over there wouldn't have to either.

Re: Who cuts your hair?

I've been going to the same barber since I was 8 years old. And he took over from the guy who gave me my first haircut.

The dude is awesome. Old Cuban guy, haircut, shave, straight razor, warm towel, and amazing to talk to. Knows all about life, and girls, and how to remain happy and content. I've only had four haircuts that weren't done by him in over 13 years, and three of those were in college. Otherwise, I don't trust the Supercuts people. They get paid for something my friends could do, and there's NO WAY IN HELL I'm letting my friends touch my hair.

Sad thing is, my barber moved a couple of miles away, and he only works two days a week now. I think he's gonna retire! What am I gonna do???  sad

Hair !?!?!  I just grind it off with a pair of rocks, or light it on fire once in a while.  You see up here in Canada hair cuts are illegal, you can either torch it or grind it.  wink

This lady in my home town cuts my hair, and I think she's good at it.  I'm going to let it grow for a while though.

Re: Who cuts your hair?

In the winter, I let it grow.  In the Spring, I cut it all off, and keep it shaved until the Fall.

Re: Who cuts your hair?

I'm probably getting a hair cut today.
Haven't had one since I moved to Redding.

It's getting in my eyes now.
And since I like to sleep in (this morning is an exception - job interview) - it's getting to be an issue. You see - now have to get up early enough to shower AND dry it so it doesn't look funky - AND comb it so it doesn't look funky.

I much prefer get up, shower, shave, get dressed - not mess with hair - out the door with a bagel in my hand and a breath mint in my pocket (so my breath doesn't smell like cream cheese)
