The ram is really hurting your experience. I have a g4 400-640 ram and it scrolls fast.

The thought (well, the fact) that you need more than a quarter of a gig of RAM to make scrolling satisfactory disgusts me. Windows has been scrolling smoothly for years.

yeah but look at the guys specs.  is that a g3 or g4?  guess its a g4.  i've got a 400 mhz g3 w/GIg ram, and ATI Radeon 7000 vcard.  i'm amazed that Panther even runs on a system that's five years old.  Safari scrolls fine too. 

i have noticed some bugginess in Saf 1.1.  think an update/new version is overdue. 

Firebird is the best browser for Mac OS X.
