Re: Halo Division thread

I think when we get a server we should use some mods that you can find at halomods.com because some of those look/sound SWEET.

Re: Halo Division thread

Dude, I found a movie on halomods.com showing flying the pelican, but it was in SP. (yes there is a mod on halomods.com too for timberland, this one must be for SP) it was cool, but the pelican takes up most of your view. It looks like somone could go in the little bay on the underside of the pelican. The guy who was driving it jumped out about 300 feet above the ground- he fell, hit the ground, lived (hack?) and then the pelican slowly fell and hit the ground...

dude, I found another movie on there, where the rocket launcher warthog lauched nukes and it filled the screen with white for like 3 seconds heres the link to the nuke one:
http://www.halomods.com/downloads/pafil … amp;id=127

and the pelican one:
http://www.halomods.com/downloads/pafil … amp;id=112

the pelican one is a bit big, but mostly because there is a bunch of other stuff in the movie besides the pelican part, one part of it was hilllarious- when Master Chief gets out of that ship at the beginning of the game, an elite is where that other dude is, and then a grunt comes and shoots MC and he dies  lol
fun fun can't wait to get halo

there should be an option on the poll for "I'll join when I get the game"
but later works too  smile

Re: Halo Division thread

Can you DL those movies and make them some file format my computer can understand? Stuffit says theres an eror, or it just loads a page of code, and when I DL the new stuffit the current stuffit gives me a eror while unstuffiting the new stuffit saying its corrupted or something.

1. Option click the link for the DL (it wont put the page of code)
thats as far as I can get you if you dont have stuffit Deluxe 8 or somthing like that.
you would need Windows Media Player 9 to play them too.

Re: Halo Division thread

I looked for the Mac version today hoping to see how it ran on the dp 2G g5. No luck at Comp Usa.
I have the pc version and have been playing it for a while. Its a fun game that is amazing to see in action when a team is working together to capture the flag. It takes a lot to get a cap.
The game is well worth it. I cant wait till we get a group playing together for a while and watch thier skills grow. Fun will be had by all. My favorite map is Blood Gulch.

Re: Halo Division thread

I just wish they would have left COOP in the multiplayer of Halo but oh well. I'll still get it cause it has soo many Marathon refs in it. But I need to see how it runs first before I get too crazy.

Coop is supposedly still coming in a future patch.
I hear that it's taking a long time because they have to build in a network component to it that was never there in the X-Box version.

As for Mac Halo, I tried it on my Cube (450 MHz, Radeon 9000, 896 MB RAM), and it ran amazingly crappily.
With EVERYTHING on low, it couldn't even get up to 30 fps during the cutscenes.
Typical fighting framerate was less than 10.

Division idea is being discussed.  Expect answer in a few days.

Shall the Groid return to the FPS genre?

Re: Halo Division thread

I'd join (I'm sure my G4 867mhz could handle it.), but:

I'll only have broadband after I move, which will be just in time for Halo 2.  And I'll definatly be playing H2 on XBL more than H:Mac on the internet.  See ya in 2004.

Grif:  What is that?  Bump-mapping?
Donuts:  Yeah, I got a couple of bumps you can map right here.
