Re: SAT scores...

26 on the ACT. Higher than the class valedictorian, same as the class President, class average was 16 or so.

Woohoo. Bumscrew High. I feel sooooo special.

I got the same thing. Got me into UVM just fine. Their range is like 1080-1240 or something ridiculously low like that. big_smile

Re: SAT scores...

Didn't take the SAT.

On the ACT I got a 32.  If I had taken a math class that year (should've taken Calc in HS, but I was lazy =P) I feel I could've had a 34.  But a 28 in Math held me back!  mad

Oh well, a 32 was more than enough to get into my college of choice as well as to get sufficient financial aid.

Re: SAT scores...

1290 4 years ago, 680 math, 610 verbal. Not too shabby given I though I had a baseball game at the same time. Give me a nice hangover and I think I could get a 1400 on the stupid test.

Re: SAT scores...

I wasn't going to indulge in this public ego masturbation but I'm bored.

I got a 28 on my ACTs.. not great, but better than most of my class.  That's what I get for growing up in a tiny little town.

Re: SAT scores...

I had 1460, and thought about taking it again. I was too lazy.
SAT II Bio: 770
SAT II US History: 750
SAT II Writing: 730
SAT II Math IIC: 710

I'm not positive about the Bio score, it might have been a bit lower, but that was six months after AP Bio, so I have no right to complain. I didn't get into Stanford, although taking the SAT I again might have let me in. Turns out I'm happier where I am now that I would have been there, I think. Eh, numbers don't matter.

That was what I was thinking as well... Threads like these don't really have a point.  Hell, I don't like telling people my ACT score, I don't think it's much of a judge of anything after high school.  Even then, I think people should be judged more by their behavior and real-life achievements, not by their marks in school or their test-taking skills.

Cure AIDS, then I'll be impressed.

Re: SAT scores...

99th percentile for the PSAT's (and possibly eligible for some crappy-ass scholarship).   smile; 80's for the verbal and writing... what I got for the math is totally irrelevant.   wink

unfortunately, that's pretty much all I got going for me, academia-wise.

Actually, the scholarship offered for the NMSQT/PSAT is a very awesome one. I was in the 98th percentile, so all I got was a congratulatory card and the title of "Commended Scholar" not much on it's own, but it looks good on college apps and can get you academic scholarships at some schools.  In fact, Wright State University offers a full-tuition scholarship for anyone who receives the Commended Scholar award.  University of Findlay, however, offered nothing for it.  Just depends on the school, I guess. shrug

Re: SAT scores...

I didn't even take the PSAT.  Now I really feel like a slacker  big_smile
That's probably why I'm stuck with a smurfy job, stuck for 4 years.  If I quitin that 4 years, I have to pay THEM $25,000.
I couldn't come up with enough to pay for college, and I didn't want to rely only on student loads for everything.

I love how everyone that didn't get the highest score mentioned (aka. less than 1490) blames it on hangover/little sleep/baseball game/et cetera. lol

I personally blame it on not having a proper education... what do you say to that?
