Re: UT2K3 & 10.3.2
I'd really wanna see if it helps with all the crashes. I feel for you guys, it sucks not having something that is stable.

Will test it on my brand-spankin-new PowerBook G4 (17 incher, Christmas present to myself) forthrightly.

Re: UT2K3 & 10.3.2
Nothing new here, although I'm surprised Apple even bothered to update their nVidia drivers. I'd assumed they would just stop after getting top $$ for the geForceTi4. Same crappy frame rates on a G4 as 10.3.1. Do I sound bitter?
In fact, try this map:
CTF-DiamondSword2K3[v2]
and go up to the roof and "stat fps". I'm getting 9 FPS!
I've been staying on servers with stock maps for the most part, to avoid most crashes.

could you post some benchmarks with that? i've been thinking of using ati's trade-up program to get that and trade in the geforce 2mx that came with my powermac. i want to know how much better it will do with UT2K3. i have a g4 867, 640mb ram, geforce2mx 32mb

Hmmm . . . I'm starting to wonder if UT2K3 will run adequately on my Dual 800 QS with nVIDIA GeForce TwinView AGP 1X card having 64 MB RAM. Anybody know? If not, please suggest an aftermarket video card for me.

I don't know about the vid card, but I would add more ram, lots of it. 64 isn't much

thought it was odd of you to only have 64 mb of ram

I don't think that the 64 MB will be a problem but 1x AGP might.

Kirk I had 2K3 running on my Dp500 and 32mb Radeon AGP. It reminded me of the early days in UT playing on my 6400 and VooDoo 2 card. Back then I was only getting 17 FPS, today on the DP500 I'm getting 17FPS. You can play, its just gonna be really ugly, like the early days of UT. My wife's 1Ghz PIII, 384Mb, and a PCI 64mb GF 4MX plays UT2K3 well with medium to low settings.
I don't know if you're correct on the 1X AGP. I didn't think any G4 had 1X, I thought they started at 2X. I'm almost certain you have at least 2X if not 4X one the QS. If any G4 has 1X AGP it would be mine or the generation before mine. I'll brb, I'll go look on Apple's stie and get some specs.
Ok, just what I thought your good to go Kirk, you have 4X AGP. What I don't know is if the TwinView can move the V-Ram around as needed. I think it was built with the ram split betweent the two connections. Thus giving each monitor 32mb of ram. I don't know if only one monitor is connected if the card will dedicate all 64mb to that monitor.
How are your feelings towards ebay? If I were in the market for a different v-card, I'd stop there first. Look at Radeon 9600s, 8500s or GFTi for Macs. Becareful with the 8500s tho, many peeps are flashing PC cards and selling them as Mac cards. Ask that before bidding. Pesonally I'd buy a flashed card, but not for mac prices. Hell buy your own PC 8500 and flash it your self. I don't know what your budget is maybe the 9700s or 9800s is an option if you wanna go big.

Re: UT2K3 & 10.3.2
Update: 2K3 runs decently (playable, but not overly smooth) at default settings at whatever the widescreen version of 800x600 is on my 1.33 GHz PowerBook G4. My G4 tower still outperforms it, though.
