Immediately, a large toad leaped into her lap and looked at her as if it wanted to be loved. "Grep," it exclaimed. "Don't mind him," explained the Mad Hacker. He's just looking for some string."

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
i realize this may be off topic (is there a topic?) but wtf is up with the names in halo? how come you can't name your character with anything more than 11 characters? i barely have room for a clan tag (taking up 4) and the first part of the name... how can i get [MA] super colon blow to fit?

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
I think that either one of the recent or planned PC updates is supposed to allow much longer player names.
Eventually, Westlake will update Mac Halo to fix that...

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
The mods will be the same four as we've had for the rest of the clan forums. This may or may not change in the future. Its a moot point anyway. Any of the current moderators can edit posts in any of the forums.

Wohooo! no more of the games forum being cluttered!
I think this is one of the quickest times between the game being released and a forum being put up!!

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
I played Halo once. I kept driving the warthog off a cliff, so I gave up.

Have you tried Stuffit?
It even defies my best attempt at "license plate" spelling (LICNS PL8)
[MA]SUPR:BLO = 1 too many.

lol! thanks for the help
looks like i've just had to go with [MA] Blade it's unoriginal and "ooh look at me i'm a scrawny white boy trying to be a badass" but it's the best i can do that fits. and i'd really like a mac patch that would allow more characters in the name

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
just got the game (officially... i've had a borrowed copy since last friday) today and i've already been asked: "hey, [MA]? is that mac addict?" they went on to say they'd played on some of the ut servers, and that they thought [MA] was a great group of players, both skill wise and personally. well, ok, they didn't go *that* far
but they did say it was a cool clan.
dunno, just thought it was neat.

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
MA2 did get a lot of traffic, for a while.
And it was generally pretty high skill level for a pub server.

Re: Welcome to the New Digs
MA2 server was better in the old days. Not open to general public, only MAers or clan associations, plenty of MA ppl on all the time. Skill levels were more evened out at times too instead of heavily unbalanced due to more public folks getting on it.

yes, but leaving it open to the n00bs... erm, *cough* allowing the public to play as well made it an entertaining experience.
