Yup, should be curly braces for {RA}!
I'm not sure if its case sensitive, though.
Actually, I think that would be {ZA} for our UT2k3 clan alliance. 
Anyway, I haven't played that much yet, so I currently use: SwisSlesS
Once I start playing more and get better I will be: {ZA}SwisSlesS

Well I think I know were we got confussed some.
HALO only lets 11 letters and going single back to multiplayer changes your name too. Now I don't know if Single only allows 11, that could be true too.
