Allright people, it will be running today for awhile, and I'll be in and out. I'll try and keep it up, but we'll see. (dont they make pills for that now?
) I't s a test run, IP is 10.0.1.2:2302. If that doesn't work, try looking for it on the server browser, it's called [MA]temp server.

10.0.1.2 is an internal IP, that is, one for your network only. Goto a site like whatsmyip.com to find out your external IP. You'd also need to setup your router to forward ports, or go into DMZ mode.

The IP appears to be:
68.198.197.114:4231 and I see three people on, so it must be open for business!

Right, I did that. But I'm confused now. Can I host a server but not actually be in the game? Another issue was that I turned it on, left, then came back and when the map had finished no one had been there to push enter so the new map never started. How can I deal with that?
EDIT: Seems that it is working ok, but if the ip doesn't work then I'm sure you are capable mac users and CAN use the server browser, right?

I tried to enter in the IP manually but wouldn't let me join and I didnt see it in the game ranger list.
I figure it's down but I just wanted to check. heh

Unfortunately, this is part of why dedicated server versions are needed. If it's not cycling itself or responding to other players, it may need your presence.

And unfortunatly, I cant offer that. This computer has other uses, but I will soon be in possession of a 12in PB that I could maybe try to host with, but we'll see. Sorry guys, but for now it's up when it's up and isn't when it isn't.

Sorry guys, but for now it's up when it's up and isn't when it isn't.
No problemo, though when you are hosting, it would be helpful to hang out in the chat room with "|Hosting" or something at the end of your name.
That way, if anybody is wondering who is hosting, they can just jump on IRC and see for themselves.
