PC/Mac LAN's
Anyone have any success doing a PC/Mac LAN game? I havent patched PC Halo yet, so I thought it would work but it isn't

Are they at the same version #? If the PC is at 1.0 and the Mac's at 1.2...

yeah, if the new update for mac halo comes out tomarrow, I will be able to play against many at our lan party (PC's mostly) 
if not, i'll play against my brother with his mac...

D'oh, wasn't even thinking...guess i'm looking for the 1.2 patch for PC?

yeah, my buddy and i were able to play on my mac copy and his cracked pc copy. just make sure the pc is 1.02 and you should be golden.
and i promptly kicked his ass

Yeah, updating the PC to 1.02 worked. silly Mac versions not the same as PC...oh well, it was fun

My friend hasn't updated his but can't find the 1.02 update, only the 1.03.
Where is the 1.02 update at?

I'm finding most places drop older patches as newer versions become available, so unless you manually DL the patch and archive it you're SOL, or at least have to dig.
I archived it, but am reluctant to try backdating when Mac 1.03 might be released anytime in case I hose my saved games, which now range thru Legendary... still, if it takes much longer I might risk it; I may have found a way to enter the server IP as the game launches, the way screenshots, alternate rendering paths etc. are enabled. Want to try MP sometime this lifecycle...
