1440x900 Support
Currently I'm running at 1152x720@~31fps. Is there any known way to edit |/Library/Preferences/Halo Preference" so I can use fullscreen properly.

Try enabling the console and using the command
-vidmode w,h,r
Forces the game to run at width, height, refresh rate.

You can enter vidmode in the console? I thought that was MS command launch only

The command doesn't work. 
It just says '-vidmode/vidmode cannot be executed at this time', if in game or menu.

No I couldn't get -vidmode to work either. I believe from other reading I've done on the web that the supported resolutions are only those you see in the video setup screen. Sux because I'd like to see this puppy at 1690x1200. I've been using 1280x800 which fills the entire screen (no vertical letterbox), looks pretty good and plays OK.

Well your method may have failed due to 1690 being greater than 1600. What was it?

just something i found out by playing with the info here.
after you enable allow console, during the game hit tilde to bring up the console. if you hit tab it will show you a list of commands.
Anything useful in there?

Did a Google search on "Halo commands" and found this. Don't know yet what may or may not be useful in Mac Halo.
mostly the same stuff in that link, looks like even less as i don't see any of the exec commands.
a lot of the commands don't work.

The 'exec' commands are command line, and there is some way of getting them to work: the 'command key' windows controls launch options (i.e. -console & -timedemo)
