how do I get into type 1 font suitcases in 10.2?
I'm having font organization problems all of a sudden and have several cases where I need to get into font suitcases and remove or add screen fonts. Any way to do this in 10.2?

You don't.
One way of separating out fonts (if the issue you are having is that people give you suitcases with many different families in them) is to use a program like font doctor. It can organize your fonts as well as diagnose them, and thus can separate out the fonts for you.

Thanks Gipetto. It was an instance where I had all my Helveticas in one suitcase and it was conflicting with the Helvetica Regulars and Bolds that are in 10's system library. Ended up rebooting into 9 to accomplish this. Your suggestion did prompt me to fire up Font Doctor and see what it is all about. Nice program; I never even really realized it was in there with Suitcase.

A good thing to do with OSX is to move the System Helveticas from System/Library/Fonts to Library/Fonts.
That way suitcase can deactivate them when needed. Some iApps don't like this so it's probably a good idea to close them out when you know that you have to activate all your Helveticas.
