Re: College
I lived in a small town over the summer and it wasn't too bad. But people I've talked to have painted pullman as truly the sticks of civilization.

One of the guys I was with this summer (Tom) said Chicago was the place he's hated most of all the places he's been. He's in Wisconsin if you'd like to hunt him down and beat him. I might even pay for pics.

Re: College
I grew it in Hong Kong, then my parents and I moved to Bellevue, WA (~10miles East of Seattle) back in 1996. Later, I graduated from high school. After living in small towns (Pullman and Ellensburg) for 4 years, I kind of like it. Moreover, I was lucky enough to find an internship last summer in Ellensburg and they offered me a part time job after that. I tired hard to get an internship in Bellevue/Seattle area and it was just bad. I don't mind started out in a small town.

Hmmm. If i get into WSU, I'll definately visit, but I'm really not sure if I can commit to 5 years in a town like Pullman.

I'm not from a small town. I'm from a very large city and have lived in large cities my whole life. Just 'cause it is a small town doesn't make it freaky... since most everyone here is a college student it's nice. Small towns just mean there wasn't enough economic prosperity for the town to get any larger, is all.

not jabbin' ya.
just your comment sparked me to point out that small town people freak me out. My current girlfriend is from a town with more cows than people and some of her stories from home and the way she describes it are just weird.

That can be what makes it interesting. I have some really strange stories of things that happened in Dur-and-go. It's kind of funny, I didn't like it so much while I was there (probably due to the people I was around) but I'm drooling over the possibility of taking a ski trip back there in December.
I guess I still wanna go back, so I must have liked it some.

Re: College
I chose my school because it is in a small city. In fact, I think the college population is about twice that of the actual town residents. It's nice. There is no traffic, everything I need is here, and I get to drive fast on winding country roads to and from home on occasion... I guess it also helps I hate large cities.
Well, College Station is something alright. The Aggie Mentality is too much for me, so I avoided A&M at all costs. Maybe you'll like it better, but good luck.

Re: College
Somehow, I feel it redundant to list the city and state...
University of California, Davis (College of Letters & Sciences)
The one thing I truly dislike is that there're too many students... The population of Davis goes up by ~50% during the school year! But I'm not going to go to SacState, and I surely don't want to transfer again, but I'll live.

Same deal with me and Berkeley, Jades.
I like this place sooo much better when the students aren't here.
