Most rational men and women will conclude that Muhammad was a pirate, not a prophet, and that a god who is principally vengeful, forgetful, contradictory, and irrational might not be a god after all.
The Judaio-Christian God is like that too.

Re: Prophet of Doom...Muhammad a terrorist??
What scary about it is that the only good muslims are those that kill those who are not muslims. So, Osama bin Laden is a "good" muslim. Those that are peaceful towards non-muslims are hypocrites and worst than those non-muslims. This is why they kill their own people.
Most muslims are the "hypocrites", thank God!
An amazing statistics is that 80% of the worlds crime is caused by muslims. Forgot where I read this but it is in there.

Virgins are overrated. Give me a woman over 30 that knows what the parts are and how to use them any day.

I'm down with Muhammad, he understood that alcohol is more dangerous than marijuanna and that banning bud while keeping alcohol legal is hypocritical.
More on topic- I concur, virgins are immensely overrated.

If that's what you mean then it's "Judeo".

Okay... this is for both of you.
First of all, READ THE FLIPPIN' QURAN BEFORE YOU MAKE STUFF UP LIKE THIS!!! Islam absolutely does not suggest that killing non-muslims automatically gives you any sort of reward. In fact, most muslim scholars agree that the major terrorist attacks (especially 9-11) are a violation of the rules of Jihad and therefore will actually condemn those who did it.
Secondly, the Quran STRESSES peacekeeping with Jews and Christians, although it does condone them as being falsely led.
Thirdly, that statistic is not only sourceless, it has way too many lurking abstractions to make any sense. Who counts up the crime? Who registers the crime? What governments are giving out crime statistics? Do you really think that all countries require all criminals to give their religion while they're writing the ticket?
Finally, read the article a little closer, buddy. The idea of 70 virgins is probably Hadith, not Quran, and those it's more like a muslim myth that is some muslims believe. As I understand, most do not. It's like saying that all Christians believe in the nine circles of hell.
gasp...gasp...gasp...
C'mon, guys, you're better than this!

Re: Prophet of Doom...Muhammad a terrorist??
Did you read the Koran in the original Arabic in which it was written? I am currently reading it in English. But, English translations are cleaned up, intentionally.
Also, I missed where I said that was actually IN the Koran. That is simply an oral tradition.

Re: Prophet of Doom...Muhammad a terrorist??
Really?
That surprises me since there is an enormous religious penalty for changing the text of the Quran.
Which Muslim told you that it was 'cleaned up'?
I'm just making sure you didn't read it somewhere.

Correct. You can't just simply "die in a jihad", it has to be in defense of the Islamic faith.
This has been twisted by various leaders to include striking first.

Indeed. Just some n00bs in the house it seems, that's all.
I'm still interested in Some1's source, though.

Ah, here's something:
http://www.guidedones.com/metapage/frq/islamicpar.htm
For you lazy folk:
Furthermore, it may be noted that the Qur'an has not mentioned anything about '70 huries'. The Qur'an has only mentioned 'perfected spouses/counterparts'. The numerical value of 70 is derived from a Quranic commentary by Ibn kathir.

There's penalty for manipulating the Bible (like, oh, I dunno... the NIV version?), so why not?

Re: Prophet of Doom...Muhammad a terrorist??
Run, Run Run for your lives
Swiftly take cover
We're paying the price
The Sun, The Sun
The Sun is falling down
I can hear the people cry
I feel it, I see it
The End is drawing near
No one can stop what has begun
Prophet of Doom, The End is coming soon
Hear the Thunder, Thor's wonder,
Of doom, of doom, of doom
Of doom, of doom, of doom
Time, Time
There is no Time
To make it right
To see the light
Lies, Lies
Those were all lies
So now we are fighting
Yes, we must fight
The earth is quaking
We are shaking
The End is drawing near
No One can pray
And make it go away
You feel it
You see it
The End is drawing New
No one can stop what has begun
Prophet of Doom
Hear the Thunder, Thor's wonder,
Of doom, of doom, of doom
Of doom, of doom, of doom
The earth is quaking
We are shaking
The End is drawing near
No One can pray
And make it go away
You feel it
You see it
The End is drawing New
No one can stop what has begun
Prophet of Doom, The End is coming soon
Hear the Thunder, Thor's wonder,
Of doom, of doom, of doom
Of doom, of doom, of doom

Re: Prophet of Doom...Muhammad a terrorist??
And on a slightly more relevant note...
Remember Craig Winn, the founder of Value America? Back in 1999, his Internet department store had a $2.4 billion market cap. Then the stock crashed, and Winn became a pinup for 1990s irrational exuberance. BusinessWeek chronicled Winn's rise and fall in May, 2000.
Now, Winn has transformed himself into a self-styled expert on terrorism. He's working on his second self-published novel, due out in three months, called Prophet of Doom, about the allegedly murderous Prophet Muhammad. That follows his first novel, Tea with Terrorists: Who They Are, Why They Kill, What Will Stop Them, with co-author Ken Power, which portrays Islam as an evil religion. Winn says that book was based on his reading of the Koran and meetings with members of al Qaeda and other terrorists, brokered by a Mossad agent. He also says the CIA briefed him about terrorist groups. The CIA and Mossad won't comment.
Not many people are buying Winn's novel. It's no better than No. 2,514 on Amazon.com. Winn says that after the BusinessWeek story ran, he wasn't getting many job offers. "I had nothing to lose," he says. "I was the perfect person to expose fundamentalist Islam because those people play really nasty."
By Brian Grow
This does not mean that Winn is talking out of his ass, but I would certainly want independent verification for anything found on that website... Just because a man is shouting, does not mean that he is telling the truth.

I do it all the time. This isn't exactly a more emotionally charged topic for me, though. Like abortion or tax-funded evolutionary teaching.
Things get touchy sometime.

Slap on your tin-foil hat, but here's some examples here:

NIV is an owned, copyrighted translation that's up for changes at any time. That and slap on your tinfoil hat:
