I keep getting blank e-mails too. It's got to be some new spam or virus.
There's no way this many people keep forgetting to type in content to me.I had one like that... It had a little white square jpg in html, which was "distant" with my mail in the url. They get confirmation the adress is valid when you look at it.. smart bastards

Yeah, there are alot of spammers that verify with a 1pixel image, that phones home.
It is best not to preview or look at spam, or scams, but they can be so fun!

I set all of my email programs not to load remote images.

Not steel mine, steel plant. And a quick search shows that there actually are foundries located in Florida. The one whose website I checked out wasn't very large (private company, 225 employees) but they did do custom casting and such so that does count.
