Do you drive an E30 or E28? (3er or 5er)
I had an 87, now getting M3 E36
E30 - 325E to be exact

If I'm taking a road trip that'll take me more than three hours out of the area, I bring one. Don't have a Valentine, though. Some cheapie that gets the job done.
But they are a necessity out here, unless you like doing 50 in a 55 all the time to avoid getting pulled over.

However it makes some people think they can double the speed limit and it will be ok because they will slow down when a cop is around. That isnt good.

Re: Oh Thank You Valentine One
I really hope you get caught with your radar detector device. Really.
I actually think they are illegal in california
Nope, only DC and Virginia
In Virgina they have big signs at the state line: "Radar dectors are illagle" or something. The thing about road signs is that are never where you need them.
I am considered smart until spelling bee day...
Why am I here?

Re: Oh Thank You Valentine One
That's not his bimmer. Like all of the other pictures in this thread, he's stolen them from someplace else.
I doubt he ever has, or will own a BMW.
I also doubt that he's got the scratch to afford a Valentine One.
I personally avoid speed traps by... not speeding.

You are absolutly right. Everyone here can show themselves how easy it is for mr imac to make people think he has a BMW.
goto: www.google.com
type in: valentine one
click search
you will see mr imacs "car" on the third row.
how shameful.

I'm sure he used that image for illustration purposes only, since his <name of $10,000 digital camera goes here> is in the shop.

There's some smart cops, though. Usual hiding spot with the car off. Flip on the equipment when there's someone going suspiciously fast.
A lazy cop won't get them, you're right. A smart one will hit them, and hit them hard.

I used to dislike iMac because he seemed like a dumbass. If he's a complete fraud to boot, that will be awesome.

Illustrating what? that he can try to convince people he has a BMW by ripping other peoples pictures without credit?

For me, BMWgate has been the biggest letdown of the year. Now I'll have to find someone else to admire from afar!

For sure, but where will we turn for advice on speeding and evading the cops?

Re: Oh Thank You Valentine One
In California, radar detectors are perfectly legal. Radar jammers (which, as the name suggests jams the actual radar used by the officers) are.
CHP website Look down where it talks about radar detectors.
With that said- learn how to drive for Christ sake.

Re: Oh Thank You Valentine One
<name of $10,000 digital camera goes here>
EOS-1DS. 11 megapixels and hundreds of other, less useful to anyone-but-a-profesional features.
MY car has superconductive radar-detecting panels built into the body, with a little top-down display showing where all the cops are (so I can call down a satellite-based laser strike if necessary), but it's not really necessary since my car is invisible to radar anyway. The panels send back a steady "60mph...60mph...60mph" or whatever I set it to. I also coated it with Ni-2-black (which absorbs something like 99.99857% of the incumbent light) so that it's invisible to laser as well. It's hell at nighttime.
Love my car.

Me too! Is that a stock system, or did you have to add the top-down display?
