To be truthful, I prefer the Mac to PC = Ferrari to Ford analogy as it sounds better (both beginning with "F"). 
That and I really like Ferrari.

I would not touch a PC, nor will I even park within a 100 ft of a ford.

OK really, is the difference between Ford and Chevy all that much? Is it really like Mac vs. PC? I mean, what's the difference? I really don't know why some people loathe either Ford or Chevy. PCs are generally have cheap (in a bad way) hardware and either run a smurfy MS OS or run a fairly hard to use Linux varient and Macs do cost a fair amount (though to get a PC that's equivelant you often have to spend even more) and currently are lagging a bit in clock speed ratings (but not really in actual performance), but I really don't know what the difference is with cars. Can somebody please enlighten me?

friends dont let friends drive American cars. Ford or Chevy! Both are completely horrible companies. But the do what they set out to do, so there really is no point in my knocking them. Chevy and Ford want to build cars for the American market. Regardless of if the cars don't last, camaro and mustang are muscle cars. They get smurf gas, cant handle worth nuts, and have dated styling. But thats what americans want. Corvettes are awesome in america, but dont have smurf on a ferrari, porsche, or even the skyline. Best cars come from Japan and Europe! Period!
I would love to keep a nice Camaro SS on tap for some muscle car fun. Although, from what I've been reading they used to get dusted by the old celicas.
vipers are nice too. The earlier ones, not the new ones!

Mac is to pc what the VW Beetle is to the chevy corvair.
GM panicked when the Beetle was taking over the US roads in the early 60s.
Their response was an unreliable, poorlyengineered deathtrap(ie windows), and there's still a zillion beetles out there. Have faith macaddicts.
