PDF Link automaticlly downloads
I am building a site that has links that when clicked should open Acrobat Reader and show the PDF file. On my Mac, when this is clicked the file is automatically downloaded to the desktop and then opened. I just want it to open without downloading. It does not happen when I try it on my PC. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: PDF Link automaticlly downloads
Are you running OSX?
If so, Acrobat Reader won't load in the browser window.
Otherwise, check your acrobat reader (or full acrobat) install to make sure it's properly loading.
For OSX, and you can recommend this to your clients, there is a PDF plug-in available that works in OSX and does not launch acrobat - it's very nice. You can find it here

Re: PDF Link automaticlly downloads
Thanks!
The problem was that I didn't have the PDFViewer plugin from Reader in my IE Plugin folder. I am running on 9.1
I just didn't want the clients to have pdf files downloaded to their desktop and think I was forcing these files on to their machine. But I guess this is pretty much out of my hands unless I walk them through the process of making sure the plugin is in the right place. Hopefully they will have their browser settings set to view the PDF with the plugin. For some reason mine was not.
